“In sunsets we trust”

After have spent 12 years in South East Asia mostly on the water, I want to share some of the destinations that I believe is truly amazing and the most diverse Cruising waters around.

With the high season coming up in Thailand and the countries around the Andaman Sea, I want to share a South Thailand itinerary with you.

With this said I would also like to mention that chartering together with friends and family can be very exciting and also save you the cost of chartering.

As many of us have already done the resort all in package deals and being surounded by crowds,we look for more resolute places and more private times where we can be ourself and decide over time and destinations ourself, the way of renting a villa has become something many now do!

While chartering a Yacht with friends and family having your own floating ,Hotel,Villa where you can visit many exotic islands and places is the ultimate way to spend a holiday.

“No shoes, no shirt, impeccable service”

The choice of Yachts is yours and I am happy to guide you in what would suit your Private Yacht Charter Cruise In Paradise best.

I have come to like Catamarans very much lately! the way they are designed and built these days are made for the perfect cruise in paradise with a group of friends or family and still be able to have private time and space.

If you look at how Lagoon,Fountain Pajot has come to terms with time and what is open free and fresh and very luxurious with a boutique hotel feeling I can highly reccomend to charter a Catamaran for your cruise in Paradise.

Also to purchase a Yacht and keep in charter as an investment is a great way of making some fun investment that you can use see and feel in every way.

“It is better to start a voyage than end one”

This allow you to have the Yacht of your dream and having an sound investment at the same time! the only thing I have seen with traditional investments is that “the money sails away”with out any navigational remedy! and is most of the time not something you can use or share time with your friends and family with.

In any case the lifestyle of cruising in paradise south east asia, offers you adventure romance and explorations in to life as it should be,free and relaxing.

“TO ENJOY THE GOOD LIFE IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT OF UNAFATHOMABLE PROPORTIONS”

Philippines is one of the worlds most rich countries when it comes to clear water and white sand beaches and uninhabited tropical islands with white coral sand and coral reef’s embracing the islands like a halo hovering over saints heads.

“GOD IS IN THE COCONUT”

One can spend months if not years cruising In Paradise here.

The Republic of Philippines comprises over 7,000 islands covering 115,000 square miles with a population of over 90 million. The opportunities for cruising among these islands are endless.

Secret Island Philippines Palawan,Omni Marine Private Luxury Yacht Charter

Surfing in the Philippines is comparable to the best in the world – with the world-famous cloud 9s off the island of Siargao facing the Philippine Trench in the Western Pacific as well as the surfing destinations of La Union and Zambales (facing South China Sea).

Palawan’s almost 2,000 kilometers (1,200 mi) of irregular coastline are dotted with roughly 1,780 islands and islets, rocky coves, and sugar-white sandy beaches. The beautiful beaches around the island remain pristine.

It’s a true paradise to charter a private Yacht in Philippines and cruise around the waste choice of destinations, that are on the charts and to discover the paradise island that are not.

It’s also a real paradise for those who like to cruise on a private Yacht and scuba dive in the one of the most diverse dive destinations in the world.

Here one can do shallow drift dives following the coral reefs, dive with wrecks from world war 2, scuba dive with manta rays and whale sharks and micro life that is in color spectrums that would inspire any one to realize that the world below under the surface is truly magical.

There is direct flight to Manila from most countries and the optimal plan would be to avoid spending time in Manila as its not really a city that has anything to offer, and to let us pick you up at the airport for transfer to Subic bay where you would board the Yacht of your choice or change for a local flight to Basunga near Coron island, Palawan or Boracay, where we would welcome you onboard the private luxury yacht of your choice for your cruise in paradise.

It is with great pleasure to welcome you to read my Blog, which I write this out of pleasure

I just can’t stop myself from sharing these amazing destinations,in this news letter I have shared an itinerary for Burma, that some people call Myamar.

Its been 10years seens i came to Thailand and thought it was paradise, and Burma is connected to Thailand in so many ways, but has yet been so distant! full of mysteries and mythical stories.

Today it feels so great to be able to share this and the cruising here is just epic due to its nature and people that are so spiritual and welcoming.

The purpose of this newsletter is to share & promote South East Asia as a cruising destination for Yachts of all types and sizes.

“Please click on destinations on the right, for more in depth information on destination here in Paradise”

The old school of division and snobbery between Sailing Yachties’ and Motor Yachties’ is an old barrier that should be a distant memory.

The love for nature and great company should be enough to bond together and rendezvous together at some moorings at uninhabited tropical islands where BBQ and strong spirits are shared with open minds and love giving people.

Over the past decade cruising the costal waters of South East Asia, I have been fortunate to see and meet people with the same passion and love for nature and Yachting.

As the world gets more people every day and the way we travel in modern times takes us to places far beyond the way our legs can carry us, the craving for nature and its majestic beauty is becoming more precious to us, as we are living so close to other people and bigger cities are becoming overwhelmingly cramped and polluted.

We want to get back to nature as it was given to us, when we still did not have the means to overrun and abuse it like we do today.
The encounter with large animals touches our souls in a way only our ancestors could feel at ease with.
This is what we want to get back to and share and nourish the humble power of nature that moves us into the right direction of mankind.

I am proud to say that today Omni Marine can offer you Yachts in all price ranges and prestine exotic destinations like AndamanIslands(India),Philippines,Palau,Indonesia,Thailand,Burma,Malaysia,

It is with great pleasure to welcome you to read my blog, which I send out from time to time.

I do this out of passion and please forgive me if you find your self the receiver of this more than once a month!

I just can’t stop myself from sharing these amazing destinations.

The purpose of this blog is to share & promote South East Asia as a cruising destination for Yachts of all types and sizes.

The old school of division and snobbery between Sailing Yachties’ and Motor Yachties’ is an old barrier that should be a distant memory.

“The ultimate way of winding down and bonding with friends and nature is to be on a Yacht away from the stress and pressure that everyday city life entails”.

To cruise trough Palau’s amazing island galllore with its diverse prestine waters and tropical beaches, and to dive in some of the most exiting places on earth as its underwater riches in both natural and man made fauna…

Makes Palau one of the new wonders of the world.

Palawan in the Philippines is also an amazing Yachting destination in South East Asia.

Here you could cruise around for the rest of your life and still not be able to visit all the hidden gems and amazing islands..

Even the Aman has one of their hideaway hotels tucked away on one of the inslands out side the west coast of Palawan, where we could stop for a moment of endolgence in what Aman has to offer.

The high season is coming around the corner for Kumodo natural park, where Scuba diving and tracking the islands from top to bottom is an experince that no man should miss.

SCUBA DIVING IN INDONESIA
Komodo, the Banda Islands and Raja Ampat, off West Papau (formerly Irian Jaya) hold the highest marine diversity in the world. The reefs here are extremely healthy, having been largely exempt from the destructive practices that have devastated so many of the worlds reefs. However, these beautiful ecosystems are just the tip of the iceberg in an area that could arguably be described as the best diving in the world.

Komodo Holds an incredible variety of coral reef diving, from calm shallow reefs to sea mounts with ripping currents. As well as being able to find all your mega fauna, manta rays, a large variety of sharks, sun fish and dolphins Komodo is also a Macro photographers paradise.

This consideration must surely tell us that all living things were not made for man.”

To still be able to a glimpse into the amazing nature and cruising waters of Borneo,Philippines,Indonesia, and not to mention Papua New Guinea,Irian Jaya etc is a true dream come trough and Omni marine is proud to be able to offer Yachts in these destinations.

Sir Richard Branson Virgin Atlantic unveils ‘Oceanic’ submarine

Omni Marine has for the longest time been involved with studies and explorations of the life below 1Atm= Atmosphere of pressure

http://omnitrips.com/Diving-&-Snorkeling.htm

Here is an explanation for those who like to know a bit more.

The world as we live in consist of (71%) of the surface is water, 29.2 % is land. Other figures suggest the percentage of water (on Earth) is 71.11% and the percentage of land (on Earth) is 28.89%.

Only 3% of that water is fresh water, the rest is saltwater. However, there is no need to worry, as it is a continuous cycle that replaces the freshwater.

Air is massive. All around and above us we are “swimming” in air and the weight of the air above us exerts pressure on everything in it. We do not notice or feel the air pressure around us because our bodies are compressed and exert an equal force back.
The weight of the atmosphere exerts a pressure of 14.7 psi at sea level. In other words, a 1-inch column of air as tall as the atmosphere (about 50 miles) weighs 14.7 pounds. This unit is called 1 Atmosphere of pressure or 1 ATM.

Sir Richard Branson, is for sure an inspiring person that is constantly trying new ways of traveling, and he‚s new ideas of private luxury charter has for sure interested many including the Omni marine team.

To travel below depths of 330 feet is not easy, and the amount of pressure that we need to be able to with stand below these depths are so strong, that only very few persons even consider this.

But today‚s announcement of private luxury charters,
Sir Richard will take the first dive later this year to the Mariana Trench, which at 36,000ft is deeper than Mount Everest is high.

Speaking at a launch in Newport Beach, California, he showed off the 18ft carbon fibre and titanium sub, a blue-and-white plane-like craft with stubby wings and a cockpit that will be able to travel for miles over the ocean floor, and can stay down unaided for 24 hours.
“Man has not explored our ocean,” Sir Richard said in an interview at Newport Harbour Yacht Club. “If someone says something is impossible we like to prove it’s possible,” he added. “I love learning and I’m just very fortunate to participate in these kinds of adventures.”
THE DIVES

Over the course of 2011 and 2012, Virgin Oceanic‚s one-person sub will journey to the deepest part of each of Earth‚s five oceans.
The first dive will be to the deepest place on the planet: the bottom of the Mariana Trench ‚ 11 kilometers (7 mi) straight down.

This will be the first time since 1960 that human eyes have set sight here ‚ when the bathyscaphe, Trieste (which moved straight up & down like a hot air balloon) briefly touched down carrying co-pilots Don Walsh and Jacques Piccard.

This time, a sub that flies more like an airplane will allow the solo pilot, Chris Welsh, not only to reach the deepest point on Earth, but then to ‚fly‚ along the bottom of the Trench an additional 10 kilometers (nearly 6 mi).

The second dive ‚to the bottom of the Puerto Rico Trench ‚ will be piloted by Sir Richard Branson.

This trench is the deepest spot in the Atlantic Ocean at over 8 kilometers (more than 5 mi). This location is also near to Branson‚s home on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.

Subsequent dives will carry a human pilot to the bottom of the Arctic, Southern and Indian oceans. Less than 3% of the seafloor has been explored, and none of the deepest points of the planet have ever been explored beyond a brief visit to one.
The opportunities to see and learn from these dives are monumental.

Key dates and timings
Virgin Oceanic‚s first dive will be to the Marianna Trench later in 2011, and a further four dives are scheduled over the next 24 months, subject to receipt of all required regulatory approvals.

We would like to give him our support for private luxury charters into the abyss,
As an old friend said!
“Its better to start a voyage than end one”

And that the most private way of exploring the seven oceans with style and extreme excitements is to charter private, consult us for private luxury charters in paradise.

Instead of trying to find ways of living on other planets we should do like these guys, give our planet a brake and learn more how we can heel the planet and explore ways of living here in peace and harmony.

“God Is the Coconut”

Many of the words in this blog has been taken from outside sources we respect and admire.

“To enjoy the good life is an understatement

of unfathomable proportions”

Omni Marine PRIVATE LUXURY YACHT CHARTER IN KOMODO

There are a great number of beautiful pristine diving locations around the Komodo Island, many of which would be the jewel in the crown of lesser dive destinations. The following are just some of the top dive spots Omni Marine recommend to you:
Komodo Dive Sites: Crystal Rock

Crystal Rock named after the surrounding clear waters just break the surface and is home to large schools of fusiliers and anthias underneath it. Crystal Rock is a pinnacle that just breaks the surface off the northern side of the two small islets to the north of Komodo Main Island.
The shallows host thousands of anthias and damselfish, large cuttlefish, pyramids Butterfly fish, hawksbill turtles and several red octopuses.
On the northwest side of the pinnacle is a submerged mound that rises to 14 meters, with 20 meters deep saddle between the two. You need to make a quick dive to reach this area. Due to the strong easterly, but the accolade can be worth the effort, since there is always great schooling action here. There are schools of yellow-ribbon Sweet lips, Black Snappers, Blue fin and Big eye Trevally, and White tip reef sharks.
Komodo Dive Site: Castle Rock

Castle Rock, further north from Crystal Rock is another submerged mound. Soft corals and sea fans are prolific at around 20 meters. Currents can be strong, usually flow eastwards and are much stronger at the surface than in the deeper water, but it is possible to find cover near the top of the rock where conditions are calmer. Sharks and big rays can be spotted here.
In recent times a pod of bottlenose dolphins have made this spot one of their favorite hunting grounds, and you can often see them on a dive. These creatures are remarkably agile at work and to watch them in their natural environment is an experience not to be missed.

Komodo Dive Site: Cannibal Rock

Cannibal Rock is a more all-around site and can be dived from sunrise on through the night. Just located one kilometer off the northern coast of nearby Nusa Kode. There is just so much going on around this seamount: purple gorgonian, anemones, yellow and white spiral corals and sea apples that together create a riot of colors.
Dive down to the south to find the deepest diving section and where you will find enormous green and blue splendid anemones swaying back and forth. Making your way east and north you will be amazed by the sizes of the purple gorgonian fans, some over two meters tall. These fans are home to the pygmy seahorse.
Out of the depths, you may be visited on your dive by curious black-blotched stingrays, out on a hunt. Black snappers are also common here with many juveniles, noticeable in their black and white striped colors.
Komodo Dive Site: Yellow Wall of Texas

The reef wall has numbered of crevices, arches and small caverns to explore during the dive. Aside from the yellow tube corals, the reef has a great quantity of hard corals and colorful soft corals.
The shallows are very rich in fish life, particularly plankton feeders. Fork-tailed fairy Basslets swarm around the drop-offs in great orange and purple schools. Brace of colorful Butterfly fish forage in the reef crannies for small crustaceans or coral polyps.
Schools of jacks, snappers, Red-Toothed Triggerfish, Anthias and yellow Pyramid Butterfly fish can be found along the edge of the reef. If the current is running sharks, tuna and other large pelagic fish can be seen. The top of the reef abounds with Sweet lips, Emperors, wrasse, groupers and eels. Keep alert for turtles; turtles like to eat the yellow tube corals.
The sun provides more natural lighting and Yellow Wall of Texas is best dived in the afternoon.
Komodo Dive Site: Boulders
If you travel by yacht from Crinoid‚ Corner north along the coast of Nose Code into the bay of Loch Dismay you will come to a point where the coastline turn to the west and the bay opens up. There are a number of big boulders lying on the bottom. The deepest rock is in about 30 meters of water and the shallowest rock is about eight meters of water.

Here the reefs slope down to dark sand bottom in 30 to 35meters of water. The best point of entry is 100 meters south of the point. Escalating on the sand, you will find a forest of soft coral. Along the way, check out all the fire urchins for the illusive Coleman Shrimp. A torch comes in handy.
This is the best location to find the shrimp in Loh Dasami as there are usually lots of fire urchins in the area. The Boulders themselves have good coral invertebrate and fish life. Quite often Mantas can be seen in this area. Also a good night dive.
SAMPLE ITINERARY: Omni Marine BALI AND BEYOND‚Embarkation:
Bali
Disembarkation: Labuanbajo

Day 3: Sangean island is an active volcano towering 1800 meters above the surrounding water. Here one can stop to visit the tiny settlement on the island and swim in crystal-clear waters. Opposite the island of Sangean, on the Sumbawa mainland is the village of Wera, a Buginese village known for boatbuilding. Here one can see all kinds of craft in various stages of construction, including the “Phinisi” trading ships of Indonesia.

One can go hiking and looking for the ‘dragons’, and also wild horses, water buffalo, wild boar, and monkeys in spectacular scenery of savannah and emerald coves. Climb up a local summit and one can enjoy a splendid panorama over the moonscape islands of the Komodo Archipelago. Red beach, directly across the bay from Komodo village, has unique pink-red colored sand. Pulverized fragments of the red coral species cause the color of the sand.

Day 6: The serene anchorage of Labuanbajo is the main arrival point for visitors into the Komodo National Park. Here one can make a tour to a nearby village where, if the time is right, one can attend the ‘whip-fight dance’ ceremonies. Unique to the Manggarai people of West Flores is a dance called the “caci”- a whip and shield duel. This fascinating display of dance and war is never over until blood is drawn and these warriors wear their lacerations with pride, as they are the marks of bravery.

Day 7: After your breakfast a private car will be on hand to take you to the Labuanbajo airport for a return flight to Bali.

BEST TIME TO GO: The Lesser Sunda Islands are a year round cruising destination.

To hang in there when the going gets ruff, with out giving up and to learn a new culture and social codes in countries where the political&natural climate changes sometimes quite drastic is not easy.

The learning process “as you go approach” sometimes is the only way, and making mistakes can cost you dearly and constantly thinking of new ways of making your company better and how to get the word out is a 24 thinking process that is pure joy and very challenging.

In the world of private luxury yacht charter you deal with top end clients that know what they want and also can sometimes be very demanding!

Your social scills and your experience with the art of finding solutions right on the spot is crucial to sometimes turn a potential dissaster to “an unforgettable moment in somebodys life” is for us in the luxury service business the most rewarding feeling.

In good times and bad times how can one find inspiration to continue and be open to improve and learn more to expand your thinking and services to new frontiers.

I guess for most of us it is the feeling of seeing and making your clients happy that is the ultimate inspiration to continue to build and make your buisness grow.

I have never believed in advertising, and think that word of mouth and happy clients are the key to growth!

I am very proud to have built my company to where it is today and i want to thank Steve Mollman, for he’s article in Feb issue of Travel + Leisure ¬† South East Asia where he has put Omni Marine on the the map in a great way.

And i want to thank my clients, friends and readers for keeping the faith.

“It is better to start a Voyage! than to end one”

As the world is becoming more and more crowded place and transportation from one side of the globe to the other can be done in less than 24 hours!

“It is better to start a voyage than end one”

On cannot start to imagining how real leatherback men like The Explorer Alfred Russell Wallace must have thought when he spend almost 2 decades exploring South East Asia by Sailing Yachts, and by foot.

This is Quote from one of he’s letters to a friend!

“should civilized man ever reach these distant lands, and bring moral, intellectual, and physical light into the recesses of these virgin forests, we may be sure that he will so disturb the nicely-balanced relations of organic and inorganic nature as to cause the disappearance, and finally the extinction, of these very beings whose wonderful structure and beauty he alone is fitted to appreciate and enjoy. This consideration must surely tell us that all living things were not made for man.”

To still be able to a glimpse into the amazing nature and cruising waters of Borneo,Philippines,Indonesia, and not to mention Papua New Guinea,Irian Jaya etc…….

“No shoes, no shirt, impeccable service”

Can you imagine the pure freedom you have when you just anchor your own floating hotel of an uninhabited tropical island, and jump into the crystal clear ocean and swim with all our friends that are still so pure and unaware of the monsters man have become in the quest for wealth and material possessions, first then can you see the true meaning of just being free of stress and be one with mother nature.

“God Is in the Coconut”

Omni Marine is proud to give you the chance to Charter a Private Luxury Yacht in these waste waters of true cruising in paradise.

“In sunsets we trust”

Please find a suggested itinerary for Borneo below

Sabah, Malaysian Borneo

Sabah has long been an exiting holiday destination for lovers of nature, culture, diving and adventure.

Known as the “Land Below the Wind”, this lush corner of Borneo lies outside of the typhoon belt free from major climatic disturbances, and is bounded by 3 seas: the South China Sea, the Sulu Sea, and the Celebes Sea.

Here you will find tropical islands, including coral atolls and oceanic islands, pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, giant rivers, dense tropical jungle, high mountains, and an abundance of nature & wildlife.

It is precisely the convergence of these factors that make Sabah one of the most bio-diverse lands in the world and a cruising destination with so much to offer.

Kota Kinabalu
Embarkation aboard Your Private Luxury Yacht and set sail to the island of Pulau Tiga, known as the original ‘Survivor Island’ where the reality TV show was first filmed. Geothermal activity below the centre of the island has created warm bubbling mud baths which are not only relaxing to sit in but also therapeutic.
Day 2 & 3
Pulau Tiga & Marine Park
Here one can stretch the legs on nature trails which take you through the jungle and across the island, resident wildlife include macaques, giant monitor lizards, wild boar, and hornbill.

Day 4
Mantanani
On a clear day, the cruise towards Mantanani will reveal great views of Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Southeast Asia. Keen scuba divers would have an exciting opportunity to dive on a Japanese shipwreck lying in 35m of water, a legacy of the 2nd World War. There is also a chance to encounter the resident dugong or ‘sea cow

Day 5 & 6
Tip of Borneo
The northern-most part of Borneo island, with miles of empty white sand beaches and offshore islands to explore. Here we will explore the Rungus longhouse, a traditional communal home of a tribe famed for their weaving, beadwork and traditional music.
Day 7
Lankayan
Sail through the Malawali channel and southeast into the Sulu Sulawesi Sea lies Pulau Lankayan. Empty white sand beaches and crystal clear waters accompany this small and stunning tropical island. Diving and snorkeling here is very good. During the spring season the giant but harmless whale shark are a frequent visitor!

Day 8
Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary
Disembark in Sandakan port, just 20km by taxi from the Sepilok orangutan sanctuary. The Centre was set up in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned baby orang utan and a system of walkways and feeding platforms give researchers and tourists alike the opportunity to watch the Orang Utan up close in their natural habitat.

Day 9 & 10
Kinabatangan River
The Kinabatangan River sustains one of the world’s richest ecosystems and is one of only two known places in the world where 10 species of primates are found. In addition there are pythons, crocodiles, pigmy elephants, and the extremely rare Sumatran rhinoceros. A trip up the river at dawn or dusk is the best opportunity to see the wildlife.
Day 11
Darvel Bay
In Darvel Bay, you will find the idyllic and rarely visited islands of the Semporna Islands Park. This area offers excellent diving and snorkeling exploration.
Day 12
Sipadan
First discovered by Jacques Cousteau, this island is a real jewel, with immaculate white sand beaches, clear turquoise blue seas and fringing reefs. It is also one of the worlds best dive destinations, home to huge schools of jacks, spiraling barracuda, and turtles in abundance which can be seen living in a varied underwater topography of drop offs, caverns and coral gardens.
Day 13
Sipadan – Tawau
Disembarkation in Semporna and transfer to airport for flight back to Kota Kinabalu.
